Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, practical, and evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours interact. Often, we become caught in unhelpful cycles — for example, anxious thoughts leading to avoidance, which then reinforces anxiety. CBT works by identifying these patterns and gently challenging the beliefs and behaviours that keep difficulties going. Together, we test out new perspectives and practical strategies so you can respond differently, build confidence, and reduce symptoms of anxiety, low mood, stress, or self-doubt. The goal isn’t to think positively — it’s to think more realistically and respond in ways that genuinely improve how you feel and function.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help people process distressing or traumatic experiences that feel “stuck.” When something overwhelming happens, the memory can remain stored in a way that continues to trigger anxiety, shame, panic, or strong emotional reactions long after the event has passed. EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help the brain reprocess these memories so they become less emotionally charged and more integrated. Clients often find that experiences which once felt vivid, intrusive, or overwhelming begin to feel more distant, manageable, and resolved — allowing them to move forward without being repeatedly pulled back into the past.
